Sally Ann Blackmore's piano recital
Sally lost her father to the brain tumour glioblastoma. To raise money to support research into this devastating tumour, Sally this year organised a second Piano Recital in her family’s beautifully renovated barn at their Suffolk home.
Guests enjoyed champagne and canapes prior to superb performances by internationally acclaimed musician siblings – David (piano) and Joanna (violin) Quigley. Local artist Alfie, donated a share of the proceeds from paintings sold during the evening.
The funds raised from these two events are supporting PhD student Rhiannon Barrow, who is researching treatment resistance in glioblastoma.
Brain Research UK Head of Fundraising, Pippa Ball, was delighted to join the other 60 guests on the night:
“It was a privilege to join Sally and her family, friends and colleagues at this wonderful evening of music, to remember her dad and raise funds for much-needed research into brain tumours.”
