As one of the world’s most popular half marathons, Brain Research UK is delighted to have a team at the event!
You can be a part of Team #BrainResearch by running the Great North Run, either securing a place through the Public Ballot, or by running on one of our Charity Places.

How to get a place in the Great North Run
Through the organiser’s Public Ballot
The public ballot for the Great North Run closes on the 12 February. Full details about the public ballot are available on the Great North Run website.
If you are successful in the ballot you can still join Team#BrainResearch and run for people with neurological conditions but if you are unsuccessful or decide not to apply though the ballot please contact us about a Brain Research UK Charity Place.

We have charity places in the Great North Run. To apply, please complete our application form. We will consider a range of factors when allocating our places: personal reasons for taking part, fundraising targets and plans, as well as the order applicants have applied in.
